The file you are now reading is 9905INDX.TXT.  It lists and
describes each file in this directory.

The file 99SOCCOL.COD contains the source code published in 
the Sep/Oct 1999 Computer Column of _The Cryptogram_.  This
source code is not executable as it stands.  It must be
merged with the Mar/Apr program 1 pattern search demo.

99SOCCOL.BAS is the complete program formed by this merging.
It is executable using the QBASIC interpreter.

The file 99ISSU05.ZIP contains the files in this directory.  
The .ZIP was created under MS-DOS and the text files are in 
DOS ascii text format.
