The file 9806INDX.TXT contains the explanations you are now
reading.

The file 98NDCCOL.COD contains the source code published in 
the Nov/Dec 1998 Computer Column of _The Cryptogram_.  This 
is not a complete program.  It contains:

   (1) changes to be applied to the Nov/Dec 1997 Grille program.
       These code snippets are supplied for those who have 
       already made other changes of their own and wish to 
       add these changes to their own code.

   (2) The Function IofC() which computes the Index of 
       Coincidence for a string of text.

The file 98NDCCOL.BAS contains the complete Grille program
after the changes in 98NDCCOL.COD are applied to the Nov/Dec
1997 Grille program.

The file 98ISSU06.ZIP contains the files in this directory.  
The .ZIP was created under MS-DOS and the text files are in 
DOS ascii text format.
